Texas Xmas

I’m from Texas so every holiday i make my way back to Houston to kick it with the family, but also skate with Adio flow team riders Dominique Goings and Chris Luhring. These two guys run in different circles, which is cool because I get to skate with different crews and really get to know the thriving scene in Houston.

I can’t believe we actually skated this spot, because the rail is right in front of an entrance to “The Galleria” which is the biggest shopping mall in the city. Dominique kick front boarded the rail and we still had time to spare before security politely told us to leave.

Chris Luhring found a new gap downtown. He was pushing his ass off and dodging bums to ollie it.

Then he came through with the kick flip!

To celebrate the birth of baby jesus Dominique went to church and front feebled their tall rail. Happy Holidays!!!

SD Weekend

Daniel Espinoza and Steven Webb came down from IE the weekend before Christmas. They met up with Chris Troy and Anthony Schultz and skated all over SD. Here’s a few of the warm ups and other random stuff.

Right when we got to Crawford this dude asked us if it was cool if he opened the vending machine. I thought he worked for the school until he pulled out his bolt cutters and snapped open the machine.

He pulled out the money then set some drinks out for us.

As we where leaving Lannie told the rest of the kids skating at the school that the vending machine was wide open. Cold beverages for everyone!

Corridor of Shame…

Adio flow team rider Chris Luhring has a full part in a new video out of Houston called “Corridor of Shame”. Not sure what’s up with the title because this video shows that Houston definitely has a new crop of ripping skaters. Plus the whole video is really well made and has a hilarious slam section. You can buy the video here for a mere $10.

Aint no shame in this front feeble.

Texas Jams

Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas all in the week following Make-A-Wish. Too many spots and not enough time, so we’ll have to do another trip to Texas. We also stopped in for demo/signings at Goodtimes in New Braunfuls and the new Index location in Dallas.

Make-A-Wish

The Johnny Romano Skate Jam benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation happened this Saturday in Houston, TX. Adio came out with a big crew including… Kenny Anderson, Ernie Torres, Joey Brezinski, Chris Troy, Steve Nesser, Danny Montoya, Anthony Schultz and Daniel Espinoza. The day consisted of a bowl jam and two best trick contests on the street coarse. Daniel got second and Joey got third in the tech center contest. They won $2500 and $1000 which they donated back to Make-A-Wish.

Jam Through Texas

We are headed out to Texas for the Johnny Romano Skate Jam benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Then the following week we’re cruising through San Antonio and Dallas. If you in the area come out and skate with us.
